Most homeowners prefer to clean their windows during a cloudy day. One reason is that the direct sunlight can dry the cleaning solution fast leaving marks on your windows before you can polish them dry.

Gathering all the tools and cleaning materials you need before starting with the task is a good idea. This will avoid interruption during the cleaning process. If you miss an item, it will use up your time looking for it. Some of the cleaning equipment you need is as follows:

  • Sponge
  • Cleaning and drying cloths
  • Water
  • Newspaper
  • Detergent

Once you have all the cleaning materials, you can start with the job.Use warm water in cleaning the windows with a small amount of detergent. Keep in mind that some chemicals present in the detergents can damage UPVC, Aluminum and woodwork frames, so make sure that you check the cleaning instructions of your window before you drip on the windowsill.
